Syrah from Gaillac, South West France

This is a fun and energetic red pétillant naturel (pét-nat) that showcases the youthful, bright side of Syrah. Made using the ancestral method—where the wine is bottled before the primary fermentation is complete to create natural bubbles—it is full of crushed red berries and spice. The exuberant, sherbet-like acidity and fine tannins offer a lovely structure that keeps the wine fresh and irresistibly drinkable.

Ori Vin is the project of Oriane Rosner, who swapped London life for the vineyards of Gaillac in South West France in 2020. Her journey began by volunteering and learning the craft at the nearby biodynamic Domaine Gayrard, an experience she credits as essential to her becoming a winemaker. While technically a négociant (a wine merchant who buys grapes), Oriane meticulously farms her small rows of vines—which include Gamay, Muscadelle, and young Syrah—on pristine, clay-limestone soils as if they were her own. Her focus is on fun, bright, and dynamic wines that are a pure expression of the Gaillac region and a testament to the community that has supported her venture
