Crafted from ancient, own-rooted Merwah vines over 150 years old, this "Phoenix" rises with incredible structure and soul. Half of the fruit spends three weeks fermenting on its skins, providing a deep amber colour and a gutsy, tannic grip that perfectly balances the wine's natural fruitiness and vibrant acidity. The wine is naturally cold-stabilised by the harsh Lebanese winters, where temperatures at the winery drop to -2°C.
Mersel Wine, founded by Eddie Chami, is dedicated to reviving Lebanon’s ancient viticultural heritage using indigenous grape varieties and high-altitude terroirs.

Named after the highest vineyard region in Lebanon—Maksar Mersel—the project works with local farmers to create natural wines that reflect the warm, hospitable character of the Lebanese people. By farming organically and keeping intervention to a minimum, Mersel produces unique, environmentally friendly wines that are a world away from the mainstream market
