Named after "anthesis"—the beautiful blossoming phase of the vineyard plants—this wine is a highly aromatic and wonderfully pretty pour. Highly fragrant notes of fresh fig leaf and ripe peach absolutely dominate the nose. On the palate, juicy red pear notes mingle with additional peach flavors, expertly balanced by a vibrant, clean acidity. The winemaking team protects the must from oxygen to maximize its bright aromatics, fermenting solely in stainless steel before stirring the juice on its yeast lees for eight months to develop a lovely weight.

This family-owned organic estate combines the deep roots of Greek tradition with innovative New World techniques courtesy of their Kiwi winemaker. Sourced from two distinct vineyard sites—Mavrokopa and Dessi—the vines sit 220 metres above sea level at the foothills of Mt Pangaion. Here, the plants dig through 60cm of loose red-brown silty topsoil into a dense layer of thick white clay below, soaking in a mountainous Mediterranean climate that coaxes out world-class varietal definition.
