This "wild pack" (Wilde Meute) is a textured skin-contact blend that balances the floral punch of Bacchus with the grounded, mineral weight of Silvaner. The grapes are destemmed and fermented on their skins for approximately one week, followed by a patient ageing period in a mix of stainless steel and old Franconian oak barrels to develop a complex, slightly cloudy profile with notes of tart citrus and wild herbs.

2Naturkinder is the project of Melanie Drese and Michael Völker, who returned to Michael’s family estate in Kitzingen after years spent working in academic publishing in London and Germany. Since 2013, they have transformed the heritage winery into a hub for experimental, low-intervention viticulture, focusing on the unique shell limestone soils of the region. The duo treats their vineyard as a living ecosystem, moving away from rigid control in favour of biodiversity and "moments of resonance" with nature. By avoiding all additives and filtration, they aim to produce the purest possible expression of the Franconian landscape, resulting in wines that are vibrant, unpredictable, and full of life.
