Nothing screams summer to the discerning beer drinker like Saison's. Originally brewed in France in the cooler winter months and stored to be drank by the seasonal farm workers (Saisonniers) in the warm summer months. In doing so it picks up natural bacterias which would slowly "spoil" the beer. This French farmhouse favourite has delighted us for generations.
Conditioned on rose petals after fermentation, this floral farmhouse style saison has a dry, lingering bitterness and a slight tartness from the hibiscus added in the hopback. A beer for long summer evenings.
