Domina and Regent grape blend, from the Franken region of Germany.

A light, fruit forward and juicy red, named after the first sheep born in 2Naturkinder's vineyards. The blend changed over time as Betty grew up and older. 

Domina – a crossing of Blauer Portugieser and Spätburgunder – and Regent – a hybrid crossing of Diana (Müller-Thurgau x Silvaner). 

Directly pressed after a short maceration period, matured separately in old barrels. Racked after ten months and bottled unfiltered with zero additions. 

With backgrounds in Jewish studies and philosophy Melanie and Michael worked for science publishers in Germany and the UK for several years before going back to the family-winery founded in 1843. With the 2013 vintage 2Naturkinder was born. Fascinated by the purism of the wines they discovered the years before as consumers, they were driven by the idea of producing the purest wine possible.

A wine full of life, not expectations. Expressing the land, the vintage, the people and varieties in a way their region hadn’t seen before. All grapes come from organically farmed vineyards and are hand-picked. The juice becomes wine just by itself, with no additives used.
